Week 22

Yesterday we went to the doctor to check in on Brantley. Everything went really well. I was hoping they would tell me at the next appointment I could do the 4D ultrasound but that isn't until 28 weeks. I will definitely be scheduling it soon! It's interesting to hear what people think about those. I think it's crazy to pay $150 for them to flip a switch on the ultrasound machine for 4D mode but it's amazing how far technology has come! I've heard babies look almost identical to these ultrasounds so I can't wait to see what she looks like!

Here's my stats:

-FYI That's a papaya-
How far along? 22 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? 15 lbs.

21 Weeks

We are officially past the halfway point. I think these next few weeks will be when I feel the best. Other than tiring easily and my feet hurting more everything is going good! We had a great shower for my cousin Emily on Saturday and I went to another wedding shower Sunday! On Sunday morning we worked cows and it was HOT. Hydration is going to be CRUCIAL this summer. It takes about 30 minutes for my hands to swell! Here is a picture and stats from week 21.

I don't think I have officially "announced" her name on here yet. The baby's name is Brantley Ann. It's funny because more than a few people have said, "You should name her Brantley Ann!" My mom went to Mobile on vacation a few weeks ago and as she was checking in they asked for the last name... Brantley and her first... Ann. The girl behind the counter said "Brantley Ann, that would be a really cute baby name!" I think it was meant to be! I definitely wanted to use my maiden name and Ann just kind of flowed. My middle name is Ann, my mom's name is Ann, my sister-in-law's middle name is Ann, so it just kind of fit! I don't feel like we put a ton of thought into it, it was sort of a given and we LOVE it!

Here is a picture of the nursery. We still have a LONG way to go.

How precious are all the little girl clothes hanging on the crib? My Aunt Judy has showered Brantley with some of the cutest clothes I have ever laid eyes on! I just can't wait to fill them with a baby!

Here is a random cow photo because no blog is complete without one :) I hope Brantley loves the farm was much and Cowboy and I do! Checking and feeding cows will be a lot different than us just jumping in the truck and heading out. There will be bottles, diapers, carseat, etc involved this fall!!

Exhausted

I can't believe I haven't posted anything since February! I have been running around crazy lately. Last week we had a rodeo Thursday - Saturday and I was the entertainment "contact". We had Colt Ford and Clint Black and both were great! Being 20 weeks pregnant and rushing around don't mix. I think I lost all the baby weight I had gained... it was a stressful yet fun weekend. Here we are with Clint and Colt...

I definitely think I look as bad as I felt!!

Normally the time change doesn't fall during the rodeo but this year it did. We didn't get home until 12:30 am Friday and Saturday night so I was REALLY sleep deprived. Luckily I was off Monday and had some time to rest. Today for some reason I feel like I ran a marathon. I think it's a combination of mental/physical exhaustion along with losing an hour! At least we get another hour of daylight :)

I just realized I totally skipped week 19 so here is an update of week 20 so far. We are half way there!!

How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? 13 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Wearing some of my loose fitting dresses and maternity pants.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep? Wish I felt more comfortable sleeping on my stomach.
Best moment last week? Actually feeling/recognizing movement.
Movement? Definitely.
Food cravings? ICEES.
Gender? Girl.
Labor signs? No
Belly button in/out? In
What I miss? Sleeping on my stomach.
What I am looking forward too? Cowboy being able to feel kicks.
Milestones? None.

Today for the first time I felt a kick from the outside. It was pretty hard to feel but I'm looking forward to them getting stronger! Whenever I start to feel her move, I try and put my hand where she is and then she stops... Maybe once she grows a little bigger she won't be able to hide as much! I definitely don't feel/look like I have a cantaloupe in there.

Cowboy and I have done some work in the nursery! We bought a cow skin rug from the rodeo to go on the floor and it matches really well with the crib. We have shifted out some of the furniture in there and will do the rest later. Soon we will start on bedding and rearranging the closet. A less than 1,000 sq. ft. house is way too tiny for 3 people but I'm happy to have a roof over my head!

We also got some ADORABLE clothes from our great aunt! I will post pictures soon!!
